Andrew Carnegie (1835-1919) was a Scottish born US industrialist and philanthropist who established a number of trusts for education and research. This included the establishment of many public libraries in English speaking countries.

At the turn of the century a library committee was formed in Swords and The Carnegie Trust was approached for financial assistance. A site was acquired on North Street and by 1908 the library was open to the public.

You will be given an information pack on Dublin to enable you to get maximum benefit from your stay and your progress will be monitored daily by our Director of Studies to ensure optimal learning on your part....

Courses available are general English, one to one and English for Special Purposes. Examinations available are Cambridge FCE, CAE, and CPE. Course duration is from one week with no upper limit. Accommodation is through host families, home stays and other arrangements can be made.
